How does the CapillaBridge work?
The CapillaBridge uses capillary force to transport water from the aquarium to an external planter that is installed outside the aquarium. During transport, the water absorbs nutrients from the fertilizer stick and thus provides your plants with optimal nutrition. Normally, the water only flows in one direction - from the aquarium to the planter.
What happens when the water flow is reversed?
It is conceivable that if there is a lot of evaporation in the aquarium, the flow direction in the CapillaBridge temporarily reverses. In this case, a few milliliters of water from the planter could flow back into the aquarium to equalize the water level. This raises the question: could this backflow dangerously increase the copper content in the aquarium?
The answer: very low risk
Even if backflow occurs, the risk of harmful copper concentrations in the aquarium remains extremely low. Why?
