Clay pebbles are a lightweight, porous substrate made from expanded clay. It is ideal for use in aquaponic and hydroponic systems and provides excellent aeration and drainage.
Advantages :

Optimal ventilation : The porous structure ensures an excellent supply of oxygen to the roots. If you look at expanded clay under a microscope, you can clearly see the many small pores and cavities that promote air circulation.

Combine expanded clay with lava granules for an optimal mix of water retention and aeration. Combining both substrates can maximize the health of your plants and increase the efficiency of your system.
